Ingredients:
- 4 bread slices
- 1 cup thick yogurt/curd
- 3/4 cup rava/sooji/semolina
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1/2 large capsicum (chopped)
- 1 tomato (chopped)
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- Vegetable oil (few tablespoons)
Instructions:
Prepare the Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine chopped onion, capsicum, tomato, yogurt, and sooji. Mix well to form a thick paste. Adjust yogurt if needed but avoid a liquid consistency. Add salt and black pepper, and set aside for 5 minutes to allow the sooji to absorb the yogurt.
Prepare the Bread: Heat a non-stick pan over low heat and add 2 tablespoons of oil to cover the surface.
Place two bread slices in the pan.
Spread the Mixture: Spread a thin layer of the mixture evenly on each bread slice. Avoid making the layer too thick.
Cook the Bread: Drizzle a little oil over the mixture on the bread. Flip the bread slices, so the paste side faces down, and increase the heat to medium.
Cook for 3-4 minutes until the topping is set and the bread is toasted. Flip and cook the other side briefly if needed.
Serve: Place the cooked bread slices on a serving plate and sprinkle chili flakes and oregano on top.
Repeat with the remaining bread slices.
