Ingredients:
- Drumsticks (washed and cut into 3-inch pieces) – 2, Drumstick leaves- Handful
- Large onion, finely chopped -1/4
- Large tomato, chopped – 1/4
- Grated coconut -1 tbsp
- Oil- 1/ tbsp
- Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds -1/2 tsp
- A pinch of asafoetida (hing)
- turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- red chili powder (adjust to taste) 1/2 tsp
- coriander powder- 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Chopped coriander leaves for garnish
- Water as needed
Instructions:
Peel and cut drumsticks into 3-inch pieces.
Blend coconut, tomato, turmeric, red chili, and coriander powder into a paste.
Heat oil, add mustard and cumin seeds with asafoetida.
Sauté onions until golden, then add drumsticks and chopped drumstick leaves
Pour masala paste, mix, cover, and cook until tender, adding water if necessary.
Garnish and Serve: Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with chapati or rice.
