Ingredients
- Watermelon, deseeded and cubed: 3 cups
- Fresh basil leaves: 6-8
- Lemon juice: 2 tbsp
- Honey or jaggery syrup: 1 tbsp (optional, as per taste)
- Chilled water or soda: ½ cup
- Ice cubes: 4-6
- Basil leaves and watermelon wedges: For garnish
Preparation
Add watermelon cubes, basil leaves, lemon juice, and honey (if using) to a blender.
Blend until smooth.
If you prefer a clear drink, strain the mixture using a fine mesh sieve.
Fill two glasses with ice cubes.
Pour the blended watermelon-basil mixture into the glasses until they are ¾ full.
Top it with chilled water or soda.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves and a small watermelon wedge on the rim of the glass.
Serve immediately.
