Ingredients
- Chikoo (Sapodilla): 2 medium-sized, peeled and chopped
- Banana: 1 ripe, chopped (optional, for extra creaminess)
- Milk (or plant-based milk): 1 cup
- Ice cubes: 4-5 (optional, for a chilled smoothie)
- Cardamom powder: ¼ tsp (optional, for extra flavor)
Preparation
In a blender, add the chopped chikoo, banana (if using), milk, and sweetener (honey or maple syrup).
Optionally, add cardamom powder for a flavor boost.
Blend everything until smooth and creamy.
If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more milk or water and blend again until you reach your desired consistency.
Pour into glasses, add ice cubes if you prefer a chilled smoothie.
Garnish with a sprinkle of cardamom powder or chopped fruits, if desired.
Notes
- Chikoo (Sapodilla) is naturally very sweet, so you may not need much sweetener.
- For a vegan version, use plant-based milk like almond or oat milk.
- Chikoo can be difficult to peel if very ripe; a sharp knife can help with this.
