Ingredients
- Radish (mooli), peeled & chopped: 2 cups
- Radish leaves (optional, finely chopped): ½ cup
- Mustard seeds: ½ teaspoon
- Cumin seeds: ½ teaspoon
- Green chili (chopped, adjust to taste): 1
- Garlic (chopped or minced): 2 cloves
- Turmeric powder: ¼ teaspoon
- Red chili powder: ½ teaspoon
- Coriander powder: ½ teaspoon
- Salt: to taste
- Oil: 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice: 1 teaspoon
- Coriander leaves (chopped, for garnish): 2 tablespoons
Preparation
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
Add chopped garlic and green chili. Sauté for a few seconds.
Add chopped radish and stir well.
Sprinkle turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
Cover and cook on a low flame for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Once radish is slightly soft, add radish leaves and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
Turn off the heat, squeeze lemon juice, and garnish with coriander leaves.
Enjoy with roti, dal-rice, or as a side dish.
