Ingredients
- Potatoes (medium-sized, cut into wedges): 3
- Olive oil: 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder: ½ teaspoon
- Red chili powder/paprika: ½ teaspoon
- Black pepper powder: ½ teaspoon
- Salt: to taste
- Dried oregano: ½ teaspoon
- Roasted cumin powder: ½ teaspoon
- Corn flour (for extra crispiness, optional): 1 tablespoon
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Wash and scrub potatoes well. Cut them into wedges (keep the skin for extra fiber).
Soak in cold water for 15 minutes, then pat dry.
In a large bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, chili powder, black pepper, salt, oregano, and cumin powder.
Add corn flour (if using) and mix well.
Toss the potato wedges in the seasoning until well coated.
Arrange the wedges in a single layer on the baking tray.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
Sprinkle with extra oregano or chili flakes (optional).
Serve with mint yogurt dip, tomato ketchup, or hummus.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, broil for 2-3 minutes at the end.
- Use sweet potatoes for a healthier twist.
- Add Parmesan cheese or nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavor.
