Ingredients
- Milk (chilled or warm): 1 cup
- Dates (seedless): 4-5 (soaked in warm water for 15 minutes if hard)
- Almonds: 4
- Cashews: 4
- Walnuts: 2
- Raisins: 1 tbsp (optional)
- Cardamom powder: a pinch (optional)
Preparation
In a blender, add dates, almonds, cashews, walnuts, and raisins. Blend until smooth.
Add milk and cardamom powder, and blend again until well combined.
Taste and add honey or jaggery for additional sweetness if needed. Blend once more.
Pour the shake into a glass and serve immediately.
Servings: Serves 1
Notes:
- For a thicker shake, reduce the milk or add a small banana.
- This shake is naturally sweet from dates; additional sweeteners may not be needed.
- You can substitute regular milk with almond or soy milk for a vegan version.
- Soaking nuts enhances digestibility and makes the shake creamier.
