Ingredients
Serving size- 150-200 ml
- Water: 1 cup (200 ml)
- Fresh ginger: 1-inch piece (grated or thinly sliced)
- Lemon juice: 1 tbsp (freshly squeezed)
- Honey (optional): 1/2 tsp
- Cinnamon stick (optional): 1 small piece
Preparation
In a small pot, bring 1 cup of water to a boil.
Add the grated or sliced ginger to the boiling water. If using, add the cinnamon stick as well.
Reduce the heat and let the ginger simmer in the water for 5-7 minutes. This allows the flavors to infuse.
Remove the pot from heat and strain the ginger tea into a cup using a fine mesh strainer.
Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice. Add honey if desired for sweetness (optional).
Enjoy the tea warm for a refreshing and detoxifying start to your morning!
Notes
Adjust the ginger quantity based on your taste preference (mild or strong).
Avoid adding honey if you prefer a calorie-free drink.
Always add lemon juce at last after boiling.
