Ingredients
- Raw peanuts: ½ cup
- Onion: 1 small (finely chopped)
- Tomato: 1 small (finely chopped)
- Green chilies: 1 (finely chopped, optional)
- Fresh coriander leaves: 2 tbsp (chopped)
- Lemon juice: 1 tbsp
- Chaat masala: ½ tsp
- Roasted cumin powder: ¼ tsp
- Salt: To taste
- Black pepper powder: ¼ tsp
- Pomegranate seeds: 2 tbsp (optional, for garnish)
- Tomato ketchup: 2 tsp (optional)
Preparation
Rinse the raw peanuts thoroughly and boil them in salted water for 10-12 minutes until soft but not mushy. Alternatively, you can roast them if preferred.
Drain the water and allow the peanuts to cool.
In a mixing bowl, combine the boiled peanuts, chopped onion, tomato, green chilies, and coriander leaves.
Add salt, black pepper, chaat masala, and roasted cumin powder and ketchup (optional). Mix well.
Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the mixture and toss gently.
Garnish with pomegranate seeds for a sweet-tangy twist (optional).
Serve immediately as a healthy snack or appetizer.
