Ingredients
- Pomegranate seeds: 1 cup
- Low-fat milk or almond milk: 1 cup (chilled)
- Yogurt (plain or Greek): ¼ cup
- Honey or jaggery: 1 tablespoon (optional, adjust to taste)
- Chia seeds or flaxseeds (optional): 1 teaspoon
- Ice cubes: 4-5
Preparation
Add the pomegranate seeds to a blender and pulse briefly to crush them. Avoid over-blending to prevent crushing the seeds fully, which can make the shake bitter.
Strain the juice through a fine sieve or cheesecloth to remove the hard seed remnants.
Return the strained pomegranate juice to the blender.
Add chilled milk, yogurt, honey or jaggery (if using), and chia or flaxseeds.
Blend until smooth and frothy.
Pour into glasses, add ice cubes, and serve immediately.
