Ingredients
- Whole grain bread: 4 slices
- Tofu (firm): 100g (crumbled or sliced)
- Onion: 1 small (thinly sliced)
- Tomato: 1 small (thinly sliced)
- Cucumber: 1 small (thinly sliced)
- Green chutney: 2 tablespoons (optional)
- Low-fat yogurt or hung curd: 2 tablespoons (for spread)
- Black pepper powder: ½ teaspoon
- Salt: to taste
- Chaat masala: ½ teaspoon (optional)
- Olive oil or butter: 1 teaspoon
Preparation
Spread green chutney or yogurt on one side of each slice of bread.
Place a layer of cucumber, tomato, and onion slices on one slice of bread.
Add crumbled or sliced tofu on top.
Sprinkle salt, black pepper, and chaat masala over the tofu.
Cover with the second slice of bread.
Heat a pan with a little olive oil or butter and toast the sandwich until golden brown on both sides.
Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
