Ingredients
- Fresh tulsi leaves (holy basil): 7-8 leaves (or 1 tsp dried tulsi)
- Water: 1 cup
- Ginger (grated): ½ inch (optional)
- Honey or jaggery: 1 teaspoon (optional, for sweetness)
- Lemon juice: ½ teaspoon (optional, for flavor)
Preparation
Heat water in a saucepan and bring it to a boil.
Add fresh tulsi leaves (or dried tulsi) and grated ginger to the boiling water.
Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
Strain the tea into a cup.
Add honey or jaggery if desired for sweetness.
Stir in lemon juice for a tangy touch if preferred.
